Planning Approval and Prior Approval secured for a 2-storey roof extension.


On the corner of Streatham High Road and Colmer Road, the existing 3-storey building comprises of a commercial unit on the ground floor and 6 apartments above. Prior the announcement of permitted development rights for roof extensions over residential properties, our team secured planning approval for a 2-storey roof extension providing an additional 6 units. To keep the build costs efficient, we managed to avoid building a new lift through the improvements proposed to the entrance area and the communal areas in general.


After the permitted development rights for roof extensions were announced, our team submitted and received approval for a bigger footprint by over 12%.
